Chartwell Chauffeur Driven Sightseeing Tours

Chartwell can be found just south of Westerham, Kent, and is well known as the home of Sir Winston Churchill. Churchill and his wife Lady Clementine Churchill bought the property in 1922 and retained it until his death in 1965. The house has magnificent views over the Weald of Kent to Sussex.

What there is to see

• Terraced gardens contain the lakes Churchill created, a water garden, Lady Churchill's rose garden, and the Golden Rose Walk, which was a golden anniversary gift from their children

• The rooms remain as they were when he lived here and are a memento of his life and great political career, containing much contemporary memorabilia

• The garden studio houses many of his paintings
